recently started attending classes of a course on ‘cinema and the city’… it is a mphil level optional course for those doing mphil in cinema studies in jnu… my entry point is of course through the city part of the course… we saw the film ‘m’ today… directed by fritz lang… of the german expressionist school… made in 1931… one of the earlier movies on the serial killer theme…

this aint a very good picture… being taken from within a bus… but i hope one can at least understand what has happened to those rooms depicted in the picture… those are half-rooms… the ‘legal’ half… the rest, ‘illegal’ half, has been destroyed by delhi municipality bulldozers…
